So for In-Depth this year, I’m going to try alphabet photography.
And what is alphabet photography you ask? I’m simply taking photos of things I see everyday that can form the shape of a letter. For example, I often see these:
Yes that is a flock of birds flying and they’re flying in the shape of a ‘V’. I’m going to attempt to take photos of the whole alphabet using these things I see everyday. If I am able to complete one alphabet that’s made up of common, usually overlooked items, I may create a second alphabet made up of humans bending into the letters which means I may need volunteers to help me.
Oh and you won’t need to be über flexible to do them.
He’s making a ‘Y’!
I really love photography, but honestly, I’m not the best photographer or anywhere near that. I just want to extend my knowledge of photography and learn to take even better photographs that people, other than myself, can enjoy.
Since I’m taking Photography 11 next semester, I was hoping to ask my future photography teacher, Mr McElgunn to be my mentor. I was also hoping to take a photography class that was mentioned in the newspaper, but I don’t think I would be able to make it to every class… If anyone knows any other photographers that could be my mentor, please comment with their name!
Yay! Now for examples of Alphabet Photography! :
